I usually lose interest in long-running series well before the tenth book, so it's a little bit of a shock to still be hanging in there with Dresden (especially since I spend half the books rolling my eyes at him.) It's fun having to be able to turn to whichever of my boys is around when I finish a book and be able to dissect it, but that's not enough to keep me going, I don't think. I'm glad Butcher has started placing the individual plots within a larger arc; I think that helps keep my interest. Plus, I do like the supporting characters (though I would be far more interested in watching Harry navigate a relationship with Luccio in her real body rather than the perky grad student she's currently inhabiting. *That* could have been fascinating.)
I have finally managed to get my hands on TRK and plan to spend at least a healthy part of today (Mother's Day) with it.
