late, but still some favorites

I'm almost embarrassed to post some of these, they're so old, but good fic never expires, yeah?

it's quiet uptown (i never liked the quiet) by [archiveofourown.org profile] andibeth82, Avengers: Age of Ultron,< i>Captain America: Civil War, MCU, gen, Wanda, Clint/Laura, Teen, ~2600 words === Lovely story of Wanda allowing herself to grieve.

wear your momentum by [archiveofourown.org profile] sandyk, Captain America: Civil War, MCU, Pepper/Tony, Mature, ~1600 words === Raise your hand if you're not surprised Tony didn't quite understand what Pepper was saying when she said she wanted a break. This could be canon, yay.

Rocks Fall; Everybody Dies by [archiveofourown.org profile] paperclipbitch, Captain America: Civil War, MCU, gen, Pepper, Rhodey, Teen, ~5100 words === This could also be canon, ouch.

Do all spy names start with the letter J? by [archiveofourown.org profile] bluecurls, Thor, The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, MCU, Clint/Darcy, Mature, ~4800 words === Fun Clint/Darcy, with a little angst and a happy ending.

Keep The World At Bay For Me, by [archiveofourown.org profile] torakowalksi, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Agents of SHIELD, Clint/Coulson, ~25,200 words, Explicit === CA: TWS-fixit (plus Coulson!Lives fixit), version: everybody's dead, then they're not, and then they're off to find the Winter Soldier, dragging lots of feelings along the way.

Professional Front, by [archiveofourown.org profile] arsenicarcher, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Agents of SHIELD, Clint/Coulson, ~11,300 words, Teen === Coulson!Lives-fixit (plus CA: TWS fixit), version: Clint is a really determined, self-sacrificing idiot guardian angel.

rate of recidivism by [archiveofourown.org profile] alcibiades, Captain America: The Winter Soldier | MCU, Steve/Bucky, ~92,600 words, Explicit === Bucky inches his way back to being a person (Winter Soldier fix-it, version: anger can be good.)

But We Can Try by [archiveofourown.org profile] hetrez, Captain America: The Winter Soldier | MCU, Steve/Bucky, ~10,100 words, Teen === Bucky and Steve start to find their places in the world amid confusion and non-word-based love letters. I really loved Clint and Natasha here, too.

Cart, Then Horse by [archiveofourown.org profile] jenna_thorne, The Avengers | MCU, Steve/Clint, Clint/Natasha, Steve/Clint/Natasha, ~18,000 words, Explicit === Steve asks for advice, but Clint is more a hands-on kind of a guy and Natasha is generally available for consultation. Plus, there are feels (of many different kinds.)

In Wade We Trust (We Are So Screwed) by [archiveofourown.org profile] dentalfloss, The Avengers | MCU / Marvel, Clint/Coulson, ~44,300 words, Teen === Clint rescues Wade (not knowing who it is), Wade adopts Clint, an epic friendship/brotherhood (I refuse to use the word bromance here) is born. (This is unrelated to Deadpool the movie.)

All Along the Watchtower by [archiveofourown.org profile] hetrez, Captain America: The Winter Soldier | MCU / Inception, Steve/Bucky, ~23,900 words, Mature === Bucky's plan to get back to himself by inception goes about as well (read: freaky) as you'd think.

Second Time Around by [archiveofourown.org profile] Brenda, Captain America: The Winter Soldier | MCU / Political Animals, Steve Rogers/TJ Hammond, ~62,000 words, Explicit === Steve doesn't know what to do with his life; TJ is carefully putting his back together. It could have just been a meet-cute (which this pairing tends to be) but this is so much more. I have nothing but love for this story.

Locust Wind by [archiveofourown.org profile] alphaflyer, The Avengers | Skyfall, Clint/Natasha, ~31,500 words, Teen === Sequel to the previously linked Second Mouse, Bond (the Craig version) ends up working again with SHIELD, with a few familiar faces. (Also, shhhh, I think there's another sequel in process, yay!)

Whatever You Do, Don't Get The Eggs by [archiveofourown.org profile] Spikedluv, The Unusuals/The New Adventures of Old Christine, Richard Campbell/Jason Walsh, ~13,000 words, Explicit === Clint/Coulson for the crossover crowd -- Richard stumbles into the Stage & realizes the horrible coffee is outweighed by the guy who made it.

All The Rocket Ships Are Climbing Through The Sky by [archiveofourown.org profile] it_felt_pure, Supernatural/Torchwood, Dean Winchester/Jack Harkness, ~3700 words, Explicit === Oh, come on, you know there is NO WAY Jack isn't gonna hit that the second he sees Dean.

Wherever You Will Be (That's Where I'll Call Home) by [archiveofourown.org profile] gyzm, Inception, Arthur/Eames, Explicit, 8 works, ~74,800 words (total) === I am probably the last person in all of fandom to read this, but in case I'm not, here, have a novel's worth of Arthur and Eames figuring out how to make a home in the middle of their crazy lives.

Home Out In The Wind by [archiveofourown.org profile] bomberqueen17, The Force Awakens, Finn/Poe, ~89,000 words === Finn is trying to figure out how the world outside of the the First Order works, Poe is maybe not as chill as he would like to be, BB-8 has quite the mouth, and even when things start working out, it's not ever going to be a smooth ride. (The romantic arc really is not complete here, like, not at all, but there's more coming, and I'm enjoying it enough to try to bring all of you into the cliff-hanger with me.)
