how is it monday again?

My days are getting away from me here. I turn around and another week is gone and I don't think I've done anything exciting (or even mildly non-boring) to tell you about.
 

 
 
My hydrangeas were a very blue blue this year (no pinkish purple tint at all.) Of course, now they're *dead* from the heat, but they were gorgeous while they were with me.
 
 
We're on the east coast so the sun doesn't set over the water, but the sky was doing interesting things this year. View from the second floor of the house.
 
 
It was rainy and cool at the beginning of the week (and 100 by the end when we were packing up the whole blasted place, of course) so we went shopping. We barely had room to get ourselves and our loot back home. (In my defense, this *is* the result of 4 women grabbing bargains for their entire families, plus 3 teenage girls with birthday money to burn, but yes, it is ridiculous. Welcome to Beach Week.)

Yeah, the scary thing is that the shopping is pretty much on the same level as every other Beach Week-related thing, so it's like a whole week of that kind of craziness. Nine West loves us.

We took the picture with all the shopping bags to warn the guys we were on our way home and to not have a collective stroke when we hauled all that into the house. :D
