it's been awhile
Ok, y’all, I have run my phone battery to single digits lately and spent more time on tumblr than I have in a year, all because of Solo. ::throws up hands::
It’s not even that I loved the movie all that much, though I certainly liked it and had a good time watching it and will probably go watch it again in theaters. I think the best analogy is that it’s like a coffee shop AU… (cutting for spoilers for Rogue One, The Last Jedi, and Infinity War) … Unlike R1 ( where everybody died, even the guys on the ship), and TLJ (where everybody but the little crew who fit on the Falcon died), and IW (where half of EVERYBODY died), I didn’t have to worry about whether my favorites were going to make it through. Once my brain decided that AE wasn’t horrible as the younger Han, it got to metaphorically sit back and chill and have a nice, relaxing time with friends.
So, yeah, like a coffeeshop AU: all my favorite characters, no body-count angst, \o/
In return, said brain is rewarding me with fic, whoo! I posted the one short Han/Lando PWP over the weekend, and then someone asked for permission to podfic it, so now that’s there, too, double whoo! For all that SW is really, really, really my first-ever fandom, and Han Solo, specifically, kick-started me into fandom life, I’ve never really written any fic there, so this is kinda fun.
