halloween cards

Happy October!

As some of you know, I have this small stationery problem issue, wherein I find it difficult to not break out the AmEx every time I pass by handmade paper or gorgeous cards or cool-looking notebooks (you don't want to know how many of the not-boring composition books I bought during this most recent school stock-up splurge. Also, I have my AmEx number memorized, which makes it way too easy to buy a couple (dozen, koff) sets whenever I'm bored on a conference call. Given the number of said calls I sit through every week, it can get a little out of hand. D would beg to differ, but. Perspective, yeah?)

Some day I'll take a picture of the overflowing basket where I stash all my pretties, but right now, as for the past few years, I have had great fun channeling the oooo, the Precioussssss buying urges into Halloween festiveness that I would be delighted to share with you.

Which is to say: if you would like a bit of said festiveness in cardstock form, please leave me your name and address in a comment (which I will have set to screen.)

I really do enjoy the sending of actual paper mail, so it doesn't matter if we interact a little or a lot. If you're comfortable giving me your address, I'm happy to send you some funky greetings. They might be stamped or letterpress or retro or semi-Victorian, and they might come with a weirdo stamp (or three, if you're not in the US, which is also fine), but they'll come.

Disclaimerish note: These are Halloween cards, not autumn-themed greeting cards, so if you don't do Halloween, or would be offended to receive something that might have a witch or goblin on it, this is probably not the thing for you. (I have been known to break up the winter doldrums by sending Valentine's Day cards, too, so if that's more your speed, please keep an eye out in January for a similar post.)
