monday. ::squints:: oh, time-change monday. no wonder I'm only barely functioning.

Anyway. FinishIt!February! (pretend it's not a third of the way through March, 'k?) I did kinda do the write-every-day thing (though I didn't keep track) and it was relatively successful.

Rounding things up:

sunday (past present) === MI4, Hunt/Brandt, timestamp to Love and Other Mission Anomalies, in which there is an encounter with Will's ex and things turn very much NSFW.

Hurry Up and Wait === Avengers|MCU, gen-ish Steve, with background Hawkeye/Black Widow, for the prompt five times Steve waited with Clint or Natasha and one time they waited with him, started *and* finished during February, \o/.

The Physicist and The Assassin === Avengers|MCU, eventually Bruce/Clint, technically not finished, as this is just Part 1 of 3, but finished enough that I felt okay posting the first chapter and have a pretty good feel for what's happening in the next two.

all kinds of guns === Avengers|MCU, Darcy/Clint, timestamp for you need a rock not a rolling stone, where Darcy is seriously less than impressed by this whole being a grown-up thing.

There was also some meme-age happening, where I threw out a list of my favorite tropes and people picked one and gave me fandoms and/or pairings to go with them. Still working on those (I'm slow; we all knew this) but so far I've got:

i would read thousands and thousands and thousands of words of the steve/bucky accidental baby acquisition :D

this is a very dangerous meme--I have so many ideas and no time to work on them, but yeah, I'm thinking a not-together Steve and Bucky and Steve fully intends to make sure she's placed in a good home but then the WSC is all "she has certain genetic modifications that we'd like to study further" and Steve's ready to run with her because he thinks he shouldn't put the rest of the team in the cross-hairs because he's got a soft heart sometimes, but Natasha is all stone-cold NO, and Clint is standing behind her twirling an arrow between his fingers. Bruce doesn't like *anyone* being studied, and Thor thinks she is a gift from the goddess and would like to take her to be blessed by his mother, and Tony doesn't really care, but he's not going to miss a chance to stick it to the WSC, so, you know, there are three shifts of nannies to step in when the Avengers have to assemble and every time Bucky's turning around, Steve's got her (and you know Bucky is thinking of her as "their" baby, because they found her, dammit, she's theirs) but he's kind of a mess and it's probably better if he stays away--Steve doesn't need him now, not like when they were kids, he's got the whole team behind him, and there are complications that include Bucky singing her to sleep and possibly some projectile vomiting that requires him to strip down and shower immediately and things get gloriously out of hand, the end!

I could look through your A03 account, but I'm lazy: have you ever written any Darcy/Steve?

No, not yet! There's a half-finished fic around somewhere that has her teaching him how to Lindy Hop, but nothing that I've actually posted. (And I have to admit that when it's you saying Steve, my brain goes to McGarrett so I had to think about that for a bit, which was fun, too!)

oh wow! Now that would be a fic, Darcy meeting McG! =D I'm thinking he'd walk around in a constant state of bemusement.

I'll wait patiently for the half-finished fic, sounds good!

Hah, well, you know, Jane needs to hit the observatory on the Big Island, and Darcy suffered through Tromso; she sure as hell isn't going to miss Hawaii. And then there's some problem, not really Avengers-worthy, and Coulson was a Ranger, and he worked with McGarrett on some mission or another, so Five-0 goes to deal with it. And Steve's expecting panicked civilians but they get Jane still heads-down in whatever data is anomalous and Darcy pacing around, bored and annoyed that they're in protective custody and fussing at Steve to fix things and... Chin says she's alllll Steve's issue and Kono cracks up every time Steve complains about how he can't ever do anything right and Danny yells at him that she's just a kid, what the hell's the matter with him...
