Food is Fun. I like to cook; I like to eat. I do both as often as possible. Recipes and the occasional restaurant rave pop up from time to time.
Not just a Yankee, but a damn Yankee (because not only did I move down South, but I married a good ol' boy, thus depriving a proper Southern belle of the opportunity.) Despite this failing, my lovely mother-in-law always makes me unsweet iced tea when I visit.
Dilbert...it's not just a comic, it's a way of life. The software industry has provided me with years of wildly unstable, but highly entertaining employment.
Don't try this at home, kids. We vacation every year at the beach with three other families. Eight parents, ten kids, one house. It's mass insanity and no one really believes it can be fun until they see us pull it off. We're gearing up for our 16th year of doing it.

Slash, het, gen, kink, drabble, epic, schmoop...whatever you've got, I'll read it, in a gazillion fandoms (and yes, yes, SGA is coming, I know, I'm late to the party, but there are only so many hours in the day, and everyone wants a piece of me.) If you feel that good manners are a repressive tool of the fascist patriarchy, smothering your ineffable right to communicate, we clearly live in separate paradigms and you'll probably be happier commenting elsewhere. If you take that to mean that I demand that all agree with me, I will point you to my friendslist and attempt not to laugh in your face.
Fangirl 4EVA, which, to me, means that I love hard and deep and long, without irony. So when I say I love the Star Wars universe, that means that I waited patiently to see Obi Wan and Vader fight on the volcano for 28 years. It means that every Wednesday for five years, when there was a new Buffy, I wrote long ranting emails to everyone I knew who loved Buffy, too. It means that when I say I love *NSYNC, it means that yes, their music makes me smile, their stage shows won my heart and while a new album wouldn't solve a single one of my problems, it would sure as hell put me in a better mood to deal with them.
I have a life, thankyouverymuch. Fandom is what keeps me from throttling people in it.
