life from the shallow end of the pool
hello, hello! I started writing this on Monday, and now it is somehow Thursday afternoon, so I will stop trying to be clever & just hit post. Bullet points of yay/ack:
\o/ Hawkeye on the set of Avengers 2, yayyyyyyyy! (Not spoilery beyond the fact that he's in the movie, he still uses a bow, and no, the uniform still doesn't have sleeves. A+++, will most probably flail again.)
/o\ Sex scenes? Still a bitch to write (ie, I am on my FOURTH try on this one, sheeesh.)
\o/ The oil light on my van came on Monday morning as I was dropping BabyBoy off at school, so I looped around to the local garage (long-time flisters/circlers know this as the place that will trade repair services for Elvis memorabilia and no, I am not making that up at all) and while I was waiting, a little old Southern lady came in, with one of those walkers that have a little seat & carrying basket built in. She settled down next to me and asked me if I knew how to knit, as she was about to take a class & learn. I said I'd learned from my grandmother & the next thing I knew, I was youtubing a cast-on tutorial and showing her how it was all done (at her request.) Not a bad way to start the week. :D

without_me says, better a car payment than medical bills. So it's definitely not as bad as it could have been.
\o/ We are in the middle of birthday season around the House of Boys, which is crazy, but fun. I like having an excuse to buy fun things for people I love (as opposed to boring things, like car tires and washing machines.)
\o/ The azaleas in front of the house are allllllmost ready to bloom. It got cold again this week, or they'd have exploded by now, but omg, spring is inching nearer. I think I will have one more fire in the living room fireplace tonight and then hope for April to work its magic.
Books, tv, movies are all on hold as I try to find a reasonable used car to buy and start the staging process for spring break travels...

I'm trying to figure out how much they're going to give us for the insurance settlement, which is no fun, but then I think we'll get to go check out Carmax this weekend.
