Darcy both picks out and carves the pumpkin, because Jane is too heads-down in the lab to even notice that Halloween is coming. Once Jane notices it sitting on the table by the window, she likes having the jack-o'-lantern around, though.
Jane does not like haunted houses. She doesn't get why people want to be scared, but it's a community thing and she's trying to be a little less of a recluse so she lets Darcy talk her into going. But she doesn't like it. Darcy lets Jane hold her hand and yells at the stupid kid who won't back off with the creepy stalking stuff.
Darcy prints the energy signature of the Bifrost onto t-shirts and they go as the two ends of a rainbow bridge. :D
Jane is pretty good at the blanket fort building from when she was a kid and hiding herself away to read. Darcy is much more of an extrovert, but she's beginning to see the merits of a good blanket fort.
Jane does not need the empty calories of all that candy. She needs good nutrition to power her brain. Darcy is just looking out for her boss, she's not stealing her candy, nope, not at all.
Jane gets lost in every maze she's ever been in but she never really notices—it's nice being out and wandering around. Very conducive to trouble-shooting thoughts.
Jane is not much for fiction, but once Darcy points out that their lives are a little bit on the terrifying side and probably shouldn't be shared with small children, Jane shifts everything to fairy tales about the princesses who fought off fire-breathing dragons and kept the world from ending.
Darcy likes having some color around—fall leaves are great and free and after the time in New Mexico, she's enjoying having trees with leaves around.
