You know how gmail does that semi-creepy thing where they pop up ads related to your interests based on god-knows-what algorithm and your mail?
Yeah, mine keep rotating between "Test Avengers-inspired tech on S.H.I.E.L.D.-Edition Acura cars" and "Train with S.H.I.E.L.D." There's an occasional Aurora Borealis link thrown in for variety (I pinned a couple of shots of the Northern Lights to my pinterest account and got more interest than anything else ever) but yeah, even google knows where my leisure-time brain is these days. Seriously, I work, I come home and deal with laundry/cleaning/school/medical issues and I try to write snarky Hawkeye/Darcy banter. 50+ pages and counting of snarky banter--I had no idea how diverting they could be. I think I might even finish up before the movie, yay?
In other news of fannish diversions, MI4 comes out on DVD tomorrow. I had a ridiculously fun January writing in that fandom based on a single viewing and whatever clips I could find online (and I really wasn't looking for the slash when I went to see it, though it did sort of float right off the screen) -- I'm kind of scared to see what might happen once netflix gets the disk into my hands and I can pause/rewind/replay as necessary. I didn't really get to write enough Jane there--imo, she deserves alllll the pretty boys, whichever one(s) she wants (or all of them at once if that's what gets her going.)
As
withdiamonds said when I dumped the first part of the Avengers fic on her after she listened to be spazz about the MI4 fic: hmmmm, there might be a theme running through all this. Truer words, y'all. Truer words. (And that was before I had D take pictures of the Avengers-themed monorail at Disney World. Poor baby, he was so confused that I didn't want a shot of the actual logo, but was v. v. excited that he got the 'guy with the bow'.)
And that's basically my life these days. Back to the laundry I go--have a nice Monday night!
