If my father had not already passed away from that heart attack a couple of years ago, I am telling you that the price tag on the Christmas tree I just bought would have bumped him right off.

(um, it is entirely possible that I am overcompensating for the general insanity of this last month, but I won't tell if you won't. and I will try for better pictures this year.)

It has been & part of the tree buying excess came from getting the call from my brother saying we were done closing out Mom & Dad's estate earlier in the day. Just one more thing, you know?

Combine all that with how 2 different tree places had nothing in the 8 - 9 ft range, and a guy the called 'the tree whisperer' who went into the back & emerged with a seriously beautiful Fraser fir, et voila, I am the proud host of a nearly 4 m tree that is so full I was literally crawling into it to get the interior layer of lights wound round the trunk.

I guess it's cheaper than therapy?
