It's a Monday, you know?

First day of school, so C was all doom and gloom about having to get up; I was trying to be a nice mom and make a real breakfast but kept tripping over the dog, who was confused, but highly appreciative of the smell of bacon cooking. Then C missed the bus and I had to drive him to school and the dog ran off (it's trash day! There's all kind of good stuff to see/smell!) And then I got to the office and went to get some breakfast and some guy I've never seen before literally screams at me because (he said) I cut in front of him to get strawberries. WHERE DO YOU GET OFF, LADY? WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? etc , etc, etc

o.O

Maybe we can just skip right to Tuesday?

Ha, Monday was the first day of school here as well and I am a goddamn teacher by now but it was still pretty much exactly like this. :D:

And the second day is worse! No excitement of starting new to counter the ugh-do-we-have-to-get-up-NOW? The third day is a better, though.

People randomly spraying their rage all over the place are disconcerting assholes.

I just looked at him and said, "Seriously?" and he kept right on going. I wouldn't have been surprised if he was frothing at the mouth by the end. So not the way to start the week.

Oh I think skipping to Tuesday is a marvelous idea. Maybe even, oh, Thursday? Just something to skip today, please?

I'm not holding out hope for the rest of the week, either, but maybe the universe will surprise me.

Tuesday, it is! First day of tackle football practice here. Mom is a little freaked out. Robert not so much. In other news, still recovering from a David Boreanaz induded twitter shitstorm. LIFE!

I sat and watched C work on his karate sparring last night so I am right there with the freaked-out bit. What did DB say/do to incite the twitter-verse?

Isn't random rage awesome? A 60 year old man YELLED at me last week for (politely!!) asking if I could go ahead of him in the airport security line because we were about to miss our flight. "Plan your day better! This kind of stuff really pisses me off!"

Yeah, this guy decided that he didn't like how the multiple lines we usually have at the salad/fruit bar work and totally lost it. I'm hoping the rest of the week doesn't take it as a sign.

Huh. Well for me it IS Tuesday - so your wish is granted! (Although for me, I'm only online today because it's RAINING on my vacation. Yesterday was sun and water and teaching all to kayak! Today is boardgames and shopping and wii! I feel doubly decadent, because my body seems to know that back when I was a kid school would've started by now. ;)

Board games & shopping can be fun, at least in small doses, but I hope the sun comes back to you soon!

Reed Diamond was in the season finale of Bones last year. It was a cliffhanger and I've been hearing whispers that he might recur this season. So I asked Reed if he was shooting Bones a couple of weeks ago. He tweeted me to say Hayes Flynn returns (where do they come up with the names on that show). He then tweeted a picture of his character's name plate, so he must've actually been at work at the time.

A few days later, a stream of vitriol is being tweeted at me, Reed and DB. Instead of simply hitting view conversation, I read down the stream of crap with growing horror and thoughts of what the hell are these people talking about it was a pic of a nameplate for Christ's sake. That was until I came upon DB's tweet where he said "Can this man come between B and B?" essentially and retweeted Reed's tweet to me with the picture.

I half expected death threats. Weirdness. Did inspire a lovely direct message exchange between Reed and I though, so something good came of it.
