We’re at T – 4 days and counting for Beach Week. I’ve lost the kitchen table to the giant box of Stuff Not To Forget, the washer and dryer are going non-stop and—most importantly—I am in the final stages of determining a reading plan. This used to be so much more of A Thing, back in the Olden Days, when I actually had to have the physical books, but even with an ereader, I still find it helpful to think about what I’d like to queue up.
Of course, if I’d synced my amazon/ibooks accounts with my goodreads account anytime since November of last year, this would be easier, but y’know, things get done when they get done.
So, that’s happening. Stay tuned for more (or at least a screencap of a GR bookshelf dedicated to the purpose.)
Have I mentioned I started watching The Magicians? I’m very desultory about it, but I’m chipping away at the episode list. I’m not particularly fond of any of the main characters, so there’s no driving need to OMGFINDOUTWHATHAPPENSNEXT!!1! going on in my brain, but the Not-Narnia long-game plot is keeps drawing me in. (I’m old, so I wasn’t waiting for my letter from Hogwarts, I was checking out wardrobes for paths to Narnia.)
I'm still waiting for Stardew Valley to come to the iPad, but the boys downloaded Knights of the Old Republic for me and swear I can pause whenever I need to, so I'm cautiously optimistic that I can spend some time in the SW verse this vacation.

I've been surprised by how much I like The Magicians. The first season started slowly, but then took some twists and turns that fascinated me. And it only got better from there. I appreciate their dedication to subversive tropes.

I watch The Magicians but feel like you do. I've watched all the seasons, and like it well enough. But it's not a must-see.
