So, I decided I needed to have little projects to keep from falling into my usual winter funk and that I should probably make them be a part of life *now*, before the grays descend. Thusly:
mini_nanowrimo -- This is the 4th year I've signed up and except for last year, I've had great success with the focus it provides. (Last year, I think I was just burned out from 2 Big Bangs, the Sam/Dean Mini-Bang, and the J2 romance novel challenge, all of which were posted between June & October. My writing brain was *fried* by the time I tried to do MiniNano.) Sign-ups go through the end of the month if you're so inclined.
imadeathing - Me & crafts????? I KNOW! What was I thinking?! But baking counts! I'm thinking of it as an excuse to play with frosting. Avengers cupcakes! I'm brainstorming flavors even as I type this.
Sign-ups close tomorrow--you still have time to join me in the insanity. (Just sayin'.)
BabyBoy turns 13 next year. Being a good little Slytherin, he is already negotiating for his first teenage birthday party: he wants to do a screening of all 3 LOTR extended editions and do food similar to the Alamo Drafthouse Trilogy Feast (minus the alcohol for his crowd, though I think I'll need it myself to get through all of a day like that.) If nothing else, it will keep me entertained while I try to figure out how to do it with just me cooking.
Sign-ups close tomorrow--you still have time to join me in the insanity. (Just sayin'.)
