Hmmm, somehow we went from multiple reservations for dinner tonight, to none. Um, communication much? Anyway, L & I took it as a sign to COOK & the boys (including the husbands) are just as happy not to have to get out of their jeans, so it will be a low-key NYE for us. Do enjoy your celebration of choice & I will see you all on the flip side!

Absolutely my favorite kind of NYE. There's a roasted fresh ham and a pot of Hoppin' John on the stove, and I can smell some cornbread in the near future......Yes, I'm a bad Jew, but a hell of a good Southern girl;)

We had a ton of food, but I think the booze won out over it all. It's probably good that we were at home! We were going through pomegranate martinis like they were lemonade--I shudder to think how much that would have cost in a restaurant.

I did some black-eyed peas for my good ol' boy yesterday--good luck to us all!
