The stupid project ricocheted back to my group (which was not a shocking surprise but still unwelcome) so I'm ignoring that as best I can once I leave the office. My team is really not into the geeky things, so it's good that I have y'all to yammer at, :D.
MCU
I'm about to go off-line to avoid Endgame spoilers, but we're set with tickets Thursday evening, so I'm optimistic that I can manage w/o completely going bonkers. I can't believe we're still going with this whole thing, can you? At some point, I'm going to have to finish up at least one of the many WiPs sitting in my GDocs folders, but as long as we have a release schedule, I guess I'm not completely behind the times, right? (Plus, all of my things are so far AU it really doesn't matter, even before you get to the one with Hawkeye and the Fab Five.)
Game of Thrones
It took 4 phone calls and me losing it on the manager who kept insisting that HBO was only another $15.99/month no matter that I'd signed up for a promotional offer that 'mysteriously' disappeared after I'd committed (the words 'bait and switch' and 'extortion' might have crossed my lips) but they finally 'found' the offer and got the HoB hooked up with access to Westeros.
O.M.G. Jaime knighting Brienne!!1011!! I can't remember the last time UST has paid off so satisfactorily for me, especially from an emotional standpoint. I nearly cried.
eta: Spoilers in the comments, too!
the modern-day royals rpf saga
Also, please feel free to come share your theories as to the reasons behind the fraternal Cambridge/Sussex estrangement. I’ll be happy to share sources.
books
Alsoalso! I mentioned this on twitter, but I love them so I'll say it here, too. I mostly read historical or fantasy romances, but Lucy Parker has this contemporary series set in the London theater world that is totally my catnip. There's banter and drama and everyone is perfectly fine by themselves, but they're better once they get together--my favorite things. The first three books (Act Like It, Pretty Face, Making Up) are in a collection (for only $1.99, whoo!) now and the fourth one, The Austen Playbook dropped this week. They're all loosely related, not direct sequels, so you can jump in wherever you want.
Okay, I have to go deal with the laundry and see if I can find the one linen tank that that I want to wear but of course has wandered off into the piles stacked up around the washer/dryer. My life--so exciting!
Have good week and I'll catch you on the flip side of Endgame, ciao!

She was so happy, and I'll cling to that memory when the inevitable death and destruction hits next week.
