gaaaahhhh, I hate coming up with titles for fic.

This is for the ST:Disco Pike/Tyler PWP (w/feelings, b/c obvs my brain just will not give me a break AT ALL):

So, would it be entirely too pretentious to use Survival Is Insufficient for a post-S2 first time/idiots admitting possible love?

B/c my other current option is The Captain and the Spy, which is just... ::throws up hands::



Also, dear lord, it has been a long time since I've written a new m/m pairing and I am floundering a bit with the endearments. Sweetheart? (that's what I'm working with, but it's not quiiiiite right.) Def no 'baby.'

I like Survival Is Insufficient as a title. I don't think it's pretentious.

I almost never have a title in mind as I'm writing, but this popped into my head what with the whole Trek connection and all. It's even thematically appropriate, but then I started second-guessing myself and... well, you know how that goes.

Survival Is Insufficient would be a great title for just about anything involving Tyler!

Thanks! I ended up getting over myself and using it for the title--it's on point and all, I don't know why I'm flipping out over it.

(Also, Tyler is fun, but I met Shazad Latif over DragonCon and he is flipping adorable.)

Without knowing anything about that particular canon, I also like Survival is Insufficient. It sounds very Vulcan.

Thanks, pen -- it's from Voyager so I guess my brain was worried that it'd be a faux pas to use it for Disco, but it's fic! We leverage from everywhere, right? Right!
