Ok, wow, I had 5 calls this morning, back to back to back, boom-boom-boom, and the project manager for the construction team who are doing our windows/doors came out to do final measurements and get me to approve colors and stuff was here during that, so I have been just going at full speed since 7:20 this morning, when BabyBoy & I left to get him to school and I just came off Call #4 and hit my reminders to pull up the next bridge line number and... there was nothing there! My brain kept going but, but, but...? until it hit upon the brilliant idea to check email and oh, look, #5 got rescheduled & wow, 30 minutes freeeeee. (and then the 3 calls in the afternoon start.) Yes, it's an exciting life that I lead.

My December talking meme still has availability (DW / LJ), please feel free to jump in with a topic (I am actually really excited about this--it's like making dinner...as much as I love to cook/write, sometimes figuring out what to do/talk about is the real sticking point.)

I still haven't broken my mini_wrimo streak (which is completely unprecedented in all the years I have been participating, \o/) and I wrapped up/posted a fairly long (~10K words) addition to the Darcy/Clint I've been writing since the summer (which started off life as my try for another year of marvel_bang but obvs was OBE) -- but yeah, in deep with you darling, part 2/4, is live (if unbetaed at the moment) for your reading pleasure.

At some point, I will get back onto the Reading Wednesday groove and I have a truly stupid backlog of recs to catch up on, but it's not going to happen today. (Maybe over the weekend, as we are committed to spending some time with my parents & I usually need something that is semi-distracting to keep my BP under control.)

I am so, so jealous of your writing mojo at the moment. I have no less than TEN WIPs (WsIP?) at the moment but I am having trouble FINISHING anything. GO TEAM YOU for getting words on paper and then actually POSTING them. \o/

If it makes you feel any better, my mini_wrimo commitment was only 100 words/day, and I'm working on a fic that has been languishing in my gdocs folder for at least 2 years, probably closer to 3. And you don't want to see what else is in that folder--I am right there with you on the finishing part! (last year, or, hmmm, maybe the year before that? my brain is like swiss cheese these days... anyway, at some point in the not too recent past, I made Jan/Feb the Time Of Finishing & just went through and focused on things that had been lying around. I wrote down any new ideas and any scenes or dialog that came flying out of my head, but I didn't let that distract me from Teh Finishz. I might do that again this winter, after the holiday rush and when I hate the world and there is no sparkly tree to distract me.)
