I'm really not mad, it's just that I can't not use this icon for this post

Would I rather spend a day at Pemberley with Mrs. Reynolds, a weekend at Rosings in the company of Lady Catherine and Mr. Collins, or a week at Longbourn in the company of Mrs. Bennett and Lydia Bennett? (for [livejournal.com profile] kaelie)

Okay, Rosings, with Lady C and her pet reverend is right out. I'd take to drink and be carried out dead of alcohol poisoning before the second night!

And I initially thought the same about Longbourn, but, you know, Lydia probably knows all the gossip on everyone in the whole county. We could add a little something to Mrs. Bennett's tea and find out what's really going on. I don't think I could take an entire week of that, though (but it would still be better than Rosings!)

Which of course leaves Pemberley, even if it is only with the housekeeper. She's probably more interesting than the rest of them, though--I kind of want to know how exactly one person organizes a house of that size. I'm sure I've worked for software companies with fewer employees than it took to run that house.
