ok, I am having the kind of week where, if the Divine Goddess of Fandom suddenly zapped Jeremy Renner into my boudoir, I would do nothing but pick his brain for house-remodeling plans, because, omg, *why* does everything have to wear out all at the same time?
The HoB is getting ridiculous mileage out of the fact that Hawkeye is married to Velma. (Yes, they're all giant dorks.) On the other hand, they did not object when I wore my Hawkeye & Black Widow kawaii t-shirt to the movie, so I'll cut them a little slack.
Relatedly, I did get a lot of happiness from Clint and Natasha always looking out for each other, everything from Natasha going right to Clint in the first battle, to Clint dropping Nat down into the street with that cheery little 'give 'em hell', to Auntie Nat (of course) and Baby-Traitor-Nathaniel (who I am head-canoning as conceived out of the oh-my-god-you-were-MIND-CONTROLLED-I-am-not-letting-go-of-you-for-A-YEAR, crazy-desperate sex, and named for Nat because she's why he came back.)
Plus, I've always liked Clint's mentoring/caretaking tendencies from 'You better call it, Coulson, because I'm starting to root for this guy' through 'He made a different call' and ending here with 'You step out that door, you're an Avenger,' so that was fun. (Also, I like that Wanda got the hero-shot when she did step out.)
Relatedly to that, I'd really like to thank all the people posting untagged gif-sets on tumblr for spoiling the entire conversation before the movie even came out in Europe. Or, y'know, not.
And to depart on a happy note, for those of you who, like me, squee-ed excitedly at the sight of CA: TWS I'm not launching those ships. Captain's orders-SHIELD guy back on the helicarrier here, and haven't seen this on tumblr, meet Specialist Cameron Klein.
Okay, I have to go and pop some popcorn and watch some rebel pilots making a run on the Death Star with my geeky boys while I troll Angie's List for a whole host of people to come minister to my house. Ciao, bellas, may the Force be with you all.

I love living in a future with easily available niche market tee shirts.
Granted, your boys are older ( I think) but his crowd competes for nerd cred.
While I sit back and smile. 8-)
Re: I love living in a future with easily available niche market tee shirts.
My oldest (who is away at college) was really the only one who gave me any grief for the t-shirt--he was all 'yeah, that 'ship is so sunk' via text after the other ones ratted me out to him.
The best geek cred t-shirt EVER is the one with the subway map-style map of all the places in LOTR. I've had lit teachers come up to me and gush about it after the kids wore it to school. It's subtle--until you get right up and can read the place names, it flies under the radar.

My t-shirt with Winchester Racing (To Hell and Back) with a 67 impala centered in the logo sparked a conversation about NASCAR that I had no way to extricate myself from. and I didn't want to tell the woman who had just informed me of her favorites, their chances for the season, races she'd been to, races she wanted to go to and so on. After all that, how could I fess up that it was a tv show and not actually racing?

Also totally agree about Tumblr and the untagged gif sets. I had to abandon my happy place for a week. It was harder than I expected. *g*

I was off tumblr for long enough that I might have broken my automatic 'let's go skim' mentality, which is probably a good thing.
