catching up from the weekend
sadly, there was no MCU involvement at Gunshow while we were there, but other than that, it was as amazing as always.
(One review I've seen of the place says eating there can be summed up in two words:
1. God.
2. Damn.
I have to say that I agree.)
Also, the always divine Cocktail Cart Conductor was mixing her nectar of the goddesses and dispensing said nectar from her little cart (think a dim sum restaurant only with Southern farm-to-table food good enough to make you forgive preciousness of the whole f-t-t movement and just hope plaintively that there will be more of the shrimp & scallop escabeche/burgers/coconut fish/etc that the chef just wheeled around) so we possibly had a few too many of her cinnamony Old Fashioneds. It's probably best that it's impossible to get reservations at this place; we'd be in a world of hurt if we did it every weekend.
In actual Cap 3 shooting news, I think D & I ate dinner on Valentine's Day where Steve and Natasha are in the semi-formal gear, they shot for a couple of days at the Irish pub where the Everton fans in the house go to get their fannish community & support, and the church is right next to where BabyBoy has done youth theater productions, so we're having great fun with all of this (except for the traffic, but, oh well.)
So far, it not quite as exciting as my aunt's house being on (CGI)fire and my grandparents' graves being near where the [redacted] were in Super 8, but it's early yet.
Also, if you want to follow along with the filming, @ajcbuzz on twitter is a pretty good starting point.
