Hello, Happy Friday!

The office is dead quiet today (apparently everyone likes to take off Good Friday? Who knew?) but before I bang on out of here to go "shop" through a friend's closet for the upcoming Gala Weekend, I thought I'd leave you with a couple of links…

Real Simple's Peeps Wreath -- Tacky food-based decorations FTW!

Waaaay back when I first started posting fic and admitting to it (no, you will never find my XF or Buffy fic, never ever) something possessed me to write a popslash, post-Camlan Authurian AU (popslash didn't really do AUs (reality was crazy enough)). Anyway, I saw this picture on tumblr and that's basically the setting for the story. So that was fun to see.

Even further back in time (seriously, this is like the Stone Ages), I did a business trip to LA and got to spend the evening at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, which is seriously one of the coolest experiences I'd had by that point in my life. I was super-excited to see this video, A Day With Misty Lee, who is a medium and a magician and the only female resident of the Magic Castle. Very cool.

Anything is better than eating them! They're pretty awful.

And here I thought all you could do with peeps is blow them up in the microwave.

Note, not that I've ever done so as you can't get them here.

Next year I'll send you a package or two and you can explode them to your heart's content!

There's something spooky about Easter Bunnies, maybe it's the impassive stare. It would not surprise me if there was a drop of blood running down their pastel chops.

Normally I'm painfully bored by magic routines, but that chickie has something special, she's a live-wire. Ironic that they felt just compelled to headline her as a 'female magician', though, considering practically the first words out of her mouth.

A lot of the performers I saw at the Magic Castle were pretty impressive, possibly just because they were right there in front of me, no distance or flattening from watching them on TV. Some of them were very bland but even some of the guys doing card tricks were very intense.

Doesn't the Easter bunny come from something pretty scary? I feel like that drop of blood is something from the collective unconscious...

Egads, that story. To this day, I can barely think about anything Camelot-related without imagining blind!Chris and his intense yet gentle face caressing.

Also, emotionally fraught cave sex.

I seriously have no idea how I came up with that idea, but everybody fit so well, at least in my imagination. I never wrote anything in the future, but I am sure that Chris ended up with one of Bedivere's smaller holdings, just a little keep & some land & everybody settled there, hidden away from the Saxons. JC even settled down because it got too dangerous to go roaming around. /happy ending
