more happy-making things, part 3 of 4(?)
I think I've just got one more batch of these, things that are series or the few SPN/J2 Big Bangs I've read (yes! I *have* been reading something other than Avengers! gasp!) oh, and vids. and I should probably go through my inbox and see what else I have stashed around. (so... maybe 2 more sets? ::resolves to be better about posting these::)
In this batch: 15 stories, Avengers and a lone Avengers RPF, still mostly Clint-centric, but with the occasional gen and a couple that actually focus on a different character (again, *gasp*)
Six Cities That Are Not Budapest, by
igrockspock, The Avengers, Clint/Natasha, ~2400 words, Teen === Coulson's read only if I'm dead letter tells Clint and Natasha to go on vacation, and they're *trying* but they kindof suck at it. They keep trying, though.
Exhalation, by
dirty_diana, The Avengers, Clint/Natasha, ~4300 words, Explicit === I can completely buy this complicated Clint and Natasha, where there are a half-dozen layers to their relationship and even the two of them aren't sure where they are at any one time.
Such Lost Creatures, by
lar_laughs, The Avengers, Clint/Natasha, ~6500 words, Teen === Another good backstory, one that touches on both their less than easy childhoods, but there's much less angst than that might imply.
The Observable Universe, by
sarea_okelani, The Avengers, Clint/Natasha, ~10,000 words, Teen === Jane is very good at making observations. Lots of excellent team interactions, too.
Watching From The Wall, by
sharkgloves, The Avengers, Clint/Natasha, Mature === Five Strike Team Delta ops, plus once when they can just be themselves. Hawkeye and Black Widow, quick and sharp.
You and Me and New York City, by
wendywatson, Avengers RPF, Jeremy/Scarlett, ~7400 words, Explicit === These two are adorable in interviews and photoshoots (to which my tumblr can attest); this made me smile in very much the same way.
Good Morning, Boise, by
the_wordbutler, The Avengers, Clint/Phil, ~4000 words, Teen ===Post-movie fix-it; I like that it's everyone's individual reactions as opposed to everyone finding out in a group.
Love in the Three-Ninth Kingdom, by
lavvyan, The Avengers, Clint/Phil, ~4500 words, Teen === In which Natasha might lose her mind if her partner and her boss don't get over their mutually unrequited love.
Five Times Clint Had To Explain (And One Time He Didn't, by
selenay, The Avengers, Clint/Phil, ~9400 words, Teen === Sometimes, you just need a little something light, and especially when it involves body glitter and baking and eyeliner and studded collars and tuxedos *and* a fix-it .
Tell You Secrets Nobody Knows, by
torakowalski, The Avengers, Phil/Clint/Natasha, ~2200 words, Explicit === Post-movie, things… change (even if there are some crossed lines of communication at first.)
Save Yourself, by
ghostrunner, The Avengers, Phil/Clint/Natasha, ~2100 words, Explicit === They don’t write rule books for bisexual threesome relationships where all the committed parties are trained government killers, aka: established relationship, Strike Team Delta style
Debriefings, by
kat8cha, The Avengers, Phil/Clint/Natasha, ~1600 words, Mature === Quick and fun.
Just Walk Beside Me, by
vidocqsociety, The Avengers, gen, Natasha & Steve, ~1800 words, Teen ===Steve and Natasha are friends, shown not told.
i may have a bit of a bias, by
kellifer_fic, The Avengers, Darcy/Clint, ~3300 words, Teen === Funny and deft, with great team interaction on top of the romance.
Nothing Good Was Ever Easy, by
enigmaticblue, The Avengers, Bruce/Tony/Pepper, ~23,000 words, Mature === ScienceBros, leading to Bruce maybe thinking he really is a part of the super-hero crowd, leading to Bruce/Tony/Pepper, all very organically.

Also, any feeling one way or the other about Revolution?

Books -- (oh, god, the FitzOsbornes, sob) um, I've been on a light/cozy mystery kick (of which I can say that I enjoyed the Her Royal Spyness series; I blame Downton Abbey for this, but they might not do much for you) but otherwise maybe Grave Mercy (16th Century nun-assassins, yes, I'm totally serious.) Possibly, Deanna Raybourne's Victorian private investgators of Lady Julia & Brisbane (few novels begin better than "To say that I met Nicholas Brisbane over my husband's dead body is not entirely accurate. Edward, it should be noted, was still twitching on the floor.") I think the first one is Silent In The Grave. I really loved Song of Achilles (for the Achilles/Patroclus shipper in us all.)
