also, I'm sorry to have added everyone & then disappeared but we had a new addition to the list of medical issues & I've been either sitting in ICU waiting rooms or driving back and forth between Atlanta and Charleston. Or on the phone with ICU doctors while driving, etc, etc, etc. So far we're just in holding mode, which is better than some of the options... With any luck, things will get back to normal here soon.

My dad has been having troubles with arrhythmia since earlier this year and ended up in full cardiac arrest on the day before Tgiving. He's progressing now, but it made for a complicated holiday weekend (and no doubt, an insane December.) Good vibes gratefully accepted.

I am so excited for this movie -- and I keep telling myself to remember the prequels and not get my hopes up, but everytime something new comes out, I'm bouncing off the walls again. :D

I was staying away from spoilers, but I couldn't not watch! And there's so many things that made me smile and I really hope the film doesn't disapoint :D

I read a nice analysis of the hilt and how it's (like the rest of the light sabers) a visual shorthand to the character wielding it, with this one possibly being someone who's not super-skilled, but more brute force.

The ICU is for my dad--he had a heart attack the day before Thanksgiving. He's holding his own, but it made for a crazy week.

It's a little ridiculous how excited I was to see that trailer. It's been more than 30 years.

My dad had a heart attack the day before Thanksgiving, so we've been running back and forth with that.
