Hi everybody new! ::waves::

1. Me == Long-time geekgrrl (no, really, I remember when Wolverine first appeared in the comic books. And yes, I was reading them back then, so I really am a hopeless geek.) Electrical engineer, now working in software.

2. HoB == The House of Boys, my traveling circus of a family, including 3 teen/tween boychildren (cleverly referred to as Oldest, #2Son, & BabyBoy); D, my husband of 20+ years, who is best described as the shorter, baseball-coaching brother of Eric Taylor from Friday Night Lights (no, really. that show was documentary-like in more ways than I'm totally comfortable with. Unfortunately, I am nowhere near as awesome as Tami, but we all have our aspirations in life, yes?); RileyTheDog, our Dalmatian mix of a rescue pup; and (the only other female in the house), Curia, the Dalek masquerading as a delicate and dainty kitty.

3. Meta & me? Tend to get a long much better when it comes out in my fic so most of my actual fannish discourse is along the lines of squee! yay! ♥! I'm still thinking about stuff, it'll just work itself out when I look at whatever fic is on my gdocs and think, huh. yeah, I guess that *is* how I see things.

4. X-Men. Batman. Star Wars (OT). ST:TOS. XF. LOTR. *NSYNC. SPN. ST:AOS. H50. MCU. ===> Fannish life, on- and off-line, starting from when I was about 10.

I cross-post pretty faithfully between DW & LJ, and like my little cross-post link on LJ says, comments are groovy wherever you'd like to make them. Fic is going to [archiveofourown.org profile] topaz these days, but I usually get everything to [livejournal.com profile] t_fic at some point. I'm also [tumblr.com profile] topaz119 on tumblr and I'm on goodreads and pinterest as well. Feel free to ping me if you'd like to link up there, too.

...and I'm off to dig out the house so the lady who cleans for me can actually find something to clean other than holiday detritus, ciao!

I guess now that I have dropped more than enough hints..I'll take my leave. Honestly, all kidding aside, you are a good writer.

Oh, I really did love writing Shining on the Quay. I mean, it was completely nerve-wracking, in that it was the first thing I'd ever posted in *any* Trek fandom, but I more or less had walked out of the movie theater the day the movie opened wanting to write what happened next. It just took me 2 years to figure it out!
