So, this is turning into Rec Week around here... 3 Avengers crossovers (with Grimm, Hansel & Gretel, and Skyfall) and 11 other recs in Bourne Legacy, Pacific Rim, Hansel & Gretel, Generation Kill, Star Trek, Sherlock, and Julia Quinn's Bridgertons
Things To Do in Portland When You're Not Really Dead by
laceymcbain, Avengers / Grimm, Phil Coulson/Clint Barton, ~31,700 words, Explicit === Phil really does have a cellist in Portland, but it's not at all what anyone thinks. (I can't believe I haven't recced this before, but apparently it fell down in my inbox and is only now resurfacing.) I don't watch Grimm but I was able to follow along with no problem.
By Any Other Name, by
Liannabob, Avengers / Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Natasha Romanov/Hansel, Clint Barton/Phil Coulson, Clint Barton/Natasha Romanov, ~74,600 words, Mature === Post-movie (both movies) Asgardian magical mindswap shenanigans, with bonus pining, female warrior buddies, mutual engineering geek-outs, and sibling angst (x2), all wrapped up with a glorious fix-it that leaves no one out. It's kinda what fan fic was invented for.
Second Mouse () by
AlphaFlyer, Avengers / Skyfall, gen(ish--there is a little something going on but the pairing is redacted to not spoil), ~36,900 words, Teen === SHIELD and MI6, working together to figure out weird seismic readings in Scotland. Bond and Barton in the field--nothing could possibly go wrong there, right? I had entirely too much fun with this, even before all the players were on the board.
A Life(less) Ordinary, by
carleton97 and
foxxcub, Bourne Legacy, Aaron Cross/Marta Shearing, ~14,000 words, Explicit === My notes for this one say, 'ohhhh, the virgin!Aaron fic I wish I'd had the patience to write.'
if you want to sing out by
Siria, Bourne Legacy, Aaron Cross/Marta Shearing, ~1100 words, Teen === I really like this 'side-effect' of the meds.
New Tricks, by
seven, Pacific Rim, Raleigh Becket/Mako Mori, ~8700 words, Mature === Post-movie, Raleigh and Mako (and the rest of the survivors) figure out what comes next. This lives up to all the adoring looks Raleigh is throwing at Mako during the movie.
Heeding The Call, by
marchingjaybird, Pacific Rim, Aleksis Kaidanovsky/Sasha Kaidanovsky, ~3000 words, Mature === Pre-movie backstory for Cherno Alpha that is so right I don't care what the official canon is.
What happens in Vegas..., by
redtoes, Arrow, Oliver Queen/Felicity Smoak, 48600 words, Explicit === The Olicity take on 'woke up married,' with bonus plot.
Cities of the Plain, by
Not_You, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Hansel/Mina, Edward/Gretel, ~18,500 words, Explicit === Hansel and Gretel get sucked into civilization, hunt another witch or two, get beat up some more, and solve their love problems (but not with each other.)
For One Last Landing, by
ignipes, Star Trek AOS, gen w/a little Spock/Uhura, ~6300 words, Teen === Getting back home after taking care of the Narada.
Aftermath, USA, by
traveller, Generation Kill, Brad Colbert/Nate Fick, ~24,000 words, Explicit === Another in my 'last person in 10 fandoms to rec this' recs, but that's never stopped me before. Ten years down the line, there's an assassination attempt on the president and Nate happens to be standing next to him. Like the title says, this is the aftermath.
To Shame The Devil () by
Kalliste, Generation Kill, Brad Colbert/Nate Fick, 54,800 words, Explicit === I don't think I ever expected to read a genderswapped GK fic, but there's a first time for everything. (Also, there's a reason for the swap; it's not a always-a-girl fic.)
Four Times Sherlock and Lestrade Danced Without Touching (and one time they did), by
ariadnes_string, Sherlock, Sherlock/Lestrade, ~10,300 words, Explicit === Pre-series; Sherlock is adrift and Lestrade knows better, but there they are. Part of a longer series, but this stands on its own and I can't tell you how much I love it.
The Interior of a Family, by
empressearwig, Julia Quinn's Bridgerton Series, Kate Sheffield/Anthony Bridgerton, Daphne Bridgerton/Simon Basset, ~3300 words, G, === A little bit more of the Bridgertons, in very good voice.

And thanks for including my Barton & Bond frolic ... :-)

Also, if you don't mind the Clint/Coulson (it's well-done and a minor part of the overall story arc) the crossover with Hansel & Gretel is loads of fun.

There's so much going on in the crossover--Asgard and Midgard and wherever H&G are from, with Hansel and Tony being all maker-geeks and Gretel and Sif being happily bitchy at each other and Loki being Loki and Thor and Jane being all googly-eyed at each other and Clint still making killer shots no matter what body he's in. And Natasha is a little heart-breaking--but there are happy endings!

I keep finding bookmarks and emails and notes with all kinds of links--I finally decided to start sharing them and getting my pinboard up-to-date.
