Hawaii Five-0

A while ago, I told kimannebb I'd pull together a list of some Hawaii Five-0 recs for her and I figured I'd share with the rest of you, too. But my lj is locked down, so when destina asked me to unlock them I dusted this account off, and here we go, in no particular order:

Catching Waves on Dry Land, by ariadnes_string, Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Danny, NC-17, ~1600 words === Gun kink. Do I really have to say anything more? Okay, fine: other than Dean Winchester, who better to have a thing about guns and sex than Steve McGarrett?

Thirty-Six Hours and Fifteen Minutes, by leupagus, Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Danny, NC-17, ~13,500 words (so far) === Danny and Steve have this *thing*, where they're making out but it's not dating and they're not fucking and Danny would very much like to figure out what the hell is going on. (Note: As of right now, this is a WiP, but it's very satisfying as it stands.)

just drink the water where you came from, by ink_like_blood/eleanor_lavish, Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Chin Ho, NC-17, ~2500 words === Steve and Chin have history beyond who broke whose records at quarterback. Yum. Yes.

Tell You What (you're gonna do), by giddygeek, Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Danny, NC-17, ~5800 words === The crazy shit always happens on a Tuesday, and I'm expecting this to more or less happen in an episode any day now (well, you know they'll fade to black when it gets to the actual sex, but everything else reads like a script.)

Ain't Gotta Flaunt It For Me, by robanybody, Hawaii Five-0, Kono/Danny, R-ish, ~4200 words === Family is such a theme with this show, and it plays out well here with a Kono driven crazy by her own family, a charming Danny, and a pairing that is delightful.

Fathom, by dotfic, Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Danny, PG, ~3000 words === It's raining; Danny's not sure what's going on in his head--or in Steve's; there are bad guys to catch; and oh, yeah, it won't quit raining. This one would be a bitch to shoot, what with all the rain, but otherwise, it's another one that's pitch-perfect.

Under Pressure, by elandrialore and leupagus, Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Catherine/Danny, Mature, ~5500 words === Catherine finds Danny unexpectedly charming; Danny can't believe what's about to happen; Steve's in total FML-mode, except for how he really, secretly likes how it's all playing out. Awesome Catherine voice.

Motive and Method, by lamardeuse, Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Danny, NC-17, ~4100 words === This show. Seriously. In any other fandom, the going under-cover in a gay bar cliche is just that: much-beloved fanon trope. On this show, I'm thinking it'll happen in canon sooner rather than later. I doubt it'll be any hotter than this, but, hey, you never know.

Make a Move ('Cause I Ain't Got All Night), by stillane, Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Danny, NC-17, ~6000 words === Another one that takes on the family theme and makes something awesome of it.

Around and Back Again, by portraitofafool, Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Danny, NC-17, ~4500 words === Well-done PWP with D/s (Danny topping). Tiny bit of POV-hopping that yanked me out of it, but that's my trigger, so you probably won't even notice. It's certainly not anything that should keep you from reading, because there is a LOT, "", of bad, bad stuff out there and this so isn't one of them.

Roll Like A Team, Tu Moi Aussi?, and And That's When My Heart Departed, by robanybody, Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Danny/Kono, NC-17, ~15,000 words (total) === Hellooooo, OT3.

Just Like the Saturday Morning PBS Kids Lineup, by moonythestrals, Hawaii Five-0, Steve/Danny, R, ~4400 words === The one where they work out what everyone else (including Grace) knows in the middle of an interrogation. Snarky and funny and I was drawing hearts around it halfway in.
