So, this tweet
crossed my timeline today, and while I didn't answer it on twitter (b/c too many ppl I work with are engaged there and I really don't need my opinion on the matter to be a subject of any sort of discussions involving them), I will put my answer here:
Please do feel free to talk amongst yourselves about this vitally important topic.
In other news, I may have recommended Song of Achilles to someone who has no clue about "In conclusion, totally cousins" slant of Achilles/Patroclus. Given that she sits next to me at the office, I'm really hoping I haven't set off a traumatizing event in her worldview. (In my defense, she asked what I'd been reading; I answered Circe; the conversation turned to SoA, which I still get all swoony over and about an hour later I realized she had No Clue. Ah well. Live and learn.)
In less fraught news, #2Son is kindly re-watching Star Wars: Rebels with me as I make my (slow) way through the DVDs. He's my true SW kid, so we are having an excellent time discussing the Jedi and how Kanan and the kid are re-affirming our belief in the discipline and how that affects what we're hoping for in Ep IX. I never could get into Clone Wars but Rebels got me from the start. (This past DragonCon was heavy on the Star Wars stuff for us--the actress who voices Hera is the biggest SW fan EVER and is a delight on her panels, fyi if she's going to any cons you might frequent--and of course, Galaxy's Edge is zooming toward us this year.)
So, yes, happy Monday and may your fandoms bring you joy this week.

While Jon Snow is adorable and Robb Stark kinda dreamy, Khal Drogo is nice and fierce and Jaime Lannister a hot mess who could one day really be the hero that saves the whole world, is there ANY other answer than Oberyn Martell? Seriously?
